The goal of the lesson is to prepare workers to work safely with and around electricity. This lesson does not address arc-flash hazards and controls, lock-out/tag-out procedures, or high voltage (220V or 440V) electrical safety.
Upon successful completion of this course, you should have a better understanding of:
- How to identify the hazards associated with electricity: shock and fire
- How electricity works regarding hazards on the job
- The basic safety controls and practices at work
- Identifying and explaining the proper way to respond to electrical emergencies
