Back Safety and Injury Prevention
Course Overview
The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize individuals who have physically demanding jobs (e.g. manufacturing, warehouse, hospitality, and trade workers) with the principles of back safety and injury prevention in order to help them reduce or prevent work-related back injuries.
Upon successful completion of this course, you should have a better understanding of:
- How practicing good posture, improving your work area conditions and working ergonomically will protect and strengthen your back.
- How a healthy lifestyle, and improving your strength and flexibility, can protect you from work-related back injuries.
- Steps you can take to prevent work-related back injuries when moving or lifting materials.
