Gas Safety
Course Overview
Gases, one of the fundamental states of matter, can pose serious risks in the workplace, particularly because many are invisible and lack odor. Safe handling begins with understanding a gas’s properties, including its behavior under different conditions. Even though gases may seem weightless, their vapour density determines whether they rise or sink, creating potential hazard zones. Changes in temperature can alter a gas’s volume, which is especially important when working with pressurized cylinders. Monitoring gas concentration in the air is critical to preventing accidents, making proper detection and safety measures essential. This course concludes with a final assessment to test your understanding.
