Course Overview
After completing this lesson, you will be able to recognize the characteristics of a properly-established excavation site, as well as the potential hazards you may encounter when working in and around excavations. You will also be able to identify the precautions you must follow in order to work safely in and around excavations.
Upon successful completion of this course, you should have a better understanding of how to recognize:
- Recognize the characteristics of a properly-established excavation site.
- Recognize cave-in protection requirements and properly identify procedures to keep employees safe in an excavation.
- Hazards in and around an excavation or trenching site, as well as necessary precautions and protective measures to keep employees safe from them.
