Course Overview
Exposure to Asbestos fibres and Silica dust can pose serious long-term health risks if not properly managed. This comprehensive Asbestos and Silica Awareness Training course equips workers with the essential knowledge and protective strategies needed to stay safe in environments where these hazardous materials are present. Participants will explore proper personal protective equipment (PPE), safe work practices, and regulatory requirements for handling and working around these substances. The course is structured into four clear and informative chapters:
- Chapter 1: Understanding What Asbestos and Silica Dust Are
- Chapter 2: Identifying and Comparing Their Health Hazards
- Chapter 3: Creating and Maintaining a Safe Work Environment
- Chapter 4: Roles and Responsibilities of Employers and Employees
At the end of the course, you’ll complete a final exam to assess your understanding of the material and demonstrate competency in managing asbestos and silica exposure risks.
