Who should be involved in EHS software implementation?
EHS software implementation should involve safety leaders, operations managers, field supervisors, HR or training administrators, IT, compliance staff, maintenance leaders, contractor coordinators, and representative frontline workers. In high-risk U.S. industries, implementation fails when the system is designed only from an office perspective and does not reflect how work happens in the field. Safety managers should include people who understand incidents, inspections, training, equipment, vehicles, job sites, and reporting needs. Executive support is also important because adoption improves when leaders reinforce expectations, remove barriers, and use the system’s data to guide decisions.
