Course details
Vehicle Mounted Aerial Lifts (OSHA)
Course Overview
Workers who operate vehicle-mounted aerial lifts, commonly called bucket trucks or cherry pickers, need solid training to manage the risks that come with elevated work. These machines are widely used for electrical repairs, signage, landscaping, and municipal operations. Knowing the equipment’s limits, design, and safety requirements is essential for preventing accidents. This course explains OSHA rules, examines lift components, and demonstrates how to inspect equipment before use. Learners explore stability concepts, hazard types, and safe operating methods, along with guidance for planning jobs, setting up equipment, communicating on the worksite, and responding to emergencies. The program finishes with rescue considerations to ensure workers know how to act when a lift-related incident occurs.
