Course Overview
Proper coupling and uncoupling skills are vital for safe tractor-trailer operations. Incorrect coupling and uncoupling can be very dangerous, resulting in trailers being dropped, air and electrical lines being torn, cab damage, freight damage, and other serious consequences, including injury or death.
_x000D_This course is designed to present the step-by-step procedures that must be followed to help learners develop the skills necessary for safe coupling and uncoupling of tractor-trailer units. This unit must provide instruction for driver-trainees to develop the skills necessary to conduct the procedures for safe coupling and uncoupling of combination vehicle units, as applicable.
