What should be included in an EHS software comparison?
An EHS software comparison should include modules, ease of use, mobile functionality, form customization, reporting tools, OSHA-related recordkeeping support, training management, corrective action workflows, contractor capabilities, integrations, security, implementation services, customer support, pricing, and scalability. U.S. safety managers should also compare how each system handles multi-site operations, field crews, offline work, document control, dashboards, and data exports. For high-risk industries, the comparison should focus on operational fit, not just feature count. A system with fewer but better-used features may deliver more value than a complex platform that workers avoid using.
